Cox Automotive USA is seeking an Inspector Apprentice in Utah to verify vehicle identification, document condition, and perform post-sale inspections. This on-site role involves data entry, reviewing condition reports, and collaborating with other inspectors to ensure accurate results.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma/GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED required.
Pass Inspector Certification Exam within 90 days.
Must pass medical/drug screening as applicable.
Valid driver’s license required.
Ability to multitask and stay detail-oriented.
Experience with handheld data-entry devices preferred.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel as needed.
Able to operate in outdoor conditions and variable lighting.
Strong observation skills for vehicle exterior and interior.
Team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

Verify vehicle identification.
Enter basic vehicle identification information into the database.
Inspect vehicle equipment and options and document results.
Assess and enter exterior vehicle damage into the system.
Inspect and enter the condition of vehicle interior, tires, frame and mechanical components.
Complete and verify data entry for vehicle condition documentation.
Perform post-sale inspections (PSI) and log results in the database.
Conduct walk-around inspections for online vehicle exchange (OVE).
Review completed reports with inspectors and provide guidance on results.
Attend meetings to receive job updates and complete training requirements.
