Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Inspector Apprentice for a day shift at a Cox location in the United States. The role focuses on inspecting vehicles, documenting findings, and ensuring compliance with safety and workflow procedures.

You will complete day-end procedures, write ECRs, and stay current with system and software tools while performing duties assigned by management. The position is on-site with hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Generally, less than 2 years of experience.
• Valid driver’s license; safe driver required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect customer vehicles for damage and mechanical issues based on work orders; document findings.
• Prepare and complete all necessary documentation.
• Set up system for day-end and perform day-end procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures and safety requirements.
• Write electronic condition reports (ECR).
• Conduct OVE courtesy walk-around inspections.
• Maintain knowledge of system capabilities, software, and web-based applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management; overtime may be required.
