North Carolina Department of Transportation seeks a skilled Vehicle/Equipment Repair Technician I for the Davidson County shop. You will perform a range of mechanical repairs on gasoline/diesel vehicles and heavy equipment, including preventive maintenance and system diagnostics.

The job requires safety compliance, OEM manual literacy, and the ability to obtain/maintain a CDL within 360 days of hire. Applicants must meet state requirements, pass pre-employment drug testing, and be able to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience in repair work.
• Experience in repairing and maintaining automotive and heavy equipment.
• Ability to read OEM manuals and follow safety regulations.

Responsabilités

• Perform maintenance and repair on tires, wheels, lighting, cooling, fuel, and hydraulic systems.
• Operate and test equipment to diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
• Maintain paperwork, inventories, and service records; follow safety procedures.
