The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) seeks a Vehicle/Equipment Repair Technician III (S) in the Vance County Equipment Shop to repair and maintain complex vehicle systems. You will diagnose and repair hydraulic, powertrain, electrical, and HVAC components, perform semi-skilled and skilled mechanic work, and ensure safety regulations and EPA certification where required.

Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma/GED and three years of related experience; CDL may be

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; three years of related experience preferred.
• EPA Type I/II/III or Universal certification may be required under 40 CFR part 82, subpart F.
• Experience with heating/AC, electrical diagnostics, hydraulics, and powertrain repairs is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Repair and maintenance of small engines, automotive and heavy equipment.
• Perform diagnostics and repair of complex wiring and hydraulic systems.
• Calibrate and test components; operate shop equipment and follow safety procedures.
