San Dieguito Union High School District Transportation Department in Encinitas, California is seeking a Vehicle/Equipment Mechanic to keep district vehicles and equipment in safe operating condition by diagnosing needed repairs, performing preventive maintenance, and documenting work to meet district, state and federal requirements.

Starting immediately, this full-time position offers a 40-hour work week (7:00 a.m.

Job Summary

The Vehicle/Equipment Mechanic isensures vehicles and equipmentare in safe operating condition by determining needed repairs and/or replacements on district vehicles; performing required repairs and preventive maintenance and providing written documentation of repairs to meet district, state and federal requirements.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Job-related experience within specialized field required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
