Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Data Connectivity Product Development Engineer to advance data interconnects for the Industrial and Commercial Vehicle market. You will work closely with Mechanical Design, performing RF simulations and tests to ensure customer transmission requirements are met.

The role involves engaging customers, conducting simulations with HFSS/CST, and developing PCB designs while validating with VNA, TDR, and other RF test equipment. Collaborative, global teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• BSEE preferred; ASEE or related field considered.
• Background in electromagnetics, signals and systems or related courses.
• Experience in signal integrity engineering or testing preferred.
• Familiarity with PCB design, fabrication, and assembly.
• Knowledge of data connectivity protocols in commercial vehicle or automotive is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand data connectivity applications and market trends in ICT.
• Engage with customers to define signal integrity requirements for new designs.
• Use HFSS or CST to simulate signal integrity per requirements.
• Provide simulation results to mechanical engineers and identify impedance improvements.
• Design and assemble PCBs and test adapters for evaluation and validation.
• Use RF test equipment to verify performance against simulations.
