Job summary

TE Connectivity Corporation, a global leader in connectivity solutions, seeks a Product Development Design Engineer to design connectors, cable assemblies, and platform solutions for automotive applications. You will translate requirements into robust mechanical designs and lead development from concept to prototype.

The role emphasizes advanced CAD work (Creo), simulations, rapid prototyping, and collaboration with global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7-10 years of mechanical design/product development experience.
• Experience with Creo and ANSYS SpaceClaim is a plus.
• Experience with ANSYS Mechanical or multi-physics analysis is a plus.
• Hands-on prototyping and connector tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of connectors, cable assemblies, and components.
• Create complex mechanical designs using CAD tools.
• Perform and interpret mechanical simulations to optimize performance.
• Build and validate prototypes and apply test results to design improvements.
• Support production release and troubleshoot startup issues.
