Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Vehicle Information Associate to input accurate registration data for each vehicle entering the auction.

You will use a Zebra TC handheld device to record VIN, stock numbers, Make, Model, Year, mileage, color, and options, and to affix labels on arrival. You will also install OBDII tracking devices, direct transporters, and work closely with Safety leadership to uphold Health and Safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically less than 2 years of related experience.
• Must be a safe driver with a valid license.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must be able to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
• Regularly able to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
• Ability to lift 1–15 pounds.
• Vision including color vision and depth perception.

Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information for registration using handheld computer for each vehicle at the Auction (VIN, stock number, dealer ID, make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc.).
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
• Associate and install OBDII tracking device.
• Direct transporters to proper car drop zone.
• Demonstrate safety by following all safety and health procedures.
• Support safety initiatives with leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor (e.g., assist on sale days).
