Altec is seeking a hands-on technician in Minnesota to install vehicle components, read blueprints and schematics, and test installations. The role supports multiple shop areas and emphasizes safety and quality procedures.

The position involves learning equipment in the cell, cross-training, and training teammates, with a strong focus on reliability and meeting production needs. A valid high school diploma or GED is required.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend.
• Basic computer usage knowledge.
• Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and schematics.

Responsabilidades

• Install unit vehicle components and accessories.
• Read and interpret schematics and work orders to understand customer requirements.
• Test installed components.
• Use basic hand tools such as tape measure and specialty equipment.
• Learn and operate all equipment within the work area (cell).
• Perform rework as required.
• Support APS initiatives and participate in RCI events.
• Move to other work areas to support production needs (cross-train).
• Assist and train new/current associates.
• Follow safety, environmental and quality policies and PPE usage.
• Maintain work area and tools/equipment.
• Adhere to attendance policy.
• Other duties as assigned.
