Job summary

Altec Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled technician to perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical component replacements on heavy equipment across the U.S. and Canada.

You will use manuals and support resources to troubleshoot and identify parts, conduct unit inspections, and keep a safe, orderly work area while aligning with Altec safety practices. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, strong interpersonal and customer service skills, the ability to lift up to 75

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, state-approved high school equivalency, or GED.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Physical effort to move objects and tools up to 75 pounds; frequent bending and kneeling.
• A high level of dexterity; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
• Use manuals and support resources to troubleshoot, determine procedures, and identify parts needed for repair.
• Perform Unit Condition Inspections and Reports.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
• Adhere to Altec safety practices and advise supervisors of issues affecting customer relations.
• Complete required documentation accurately.
