Job summary

Hiester Automotive Group in Lillington, NC is seeking a full-time Vehicle Acquisition Specialist/Automotive Buyer who thrives on sourcing inventory through auctions, wholesale channels and dealer-to-dealer trades. You will evaluate vehicle conditions, market demand, and profitability while building strong vendor and auction relationships.

Qualifications

• Automotive buying, wholesale, or dealership experience required.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle makes, models, and valuations.
• Experience with auctions or wholesale platforms preferred.
• High-level negotiation skills and business decision-making ability.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Automotive buying, wholesale, or dealership experience required
• Strong knowledge of vehicle makes, models, trim levels, and market valuations
• Experience with auctions, ACV/Manheim/OVE/Smart Auction or similar platforms preferred
• High-level negotiation skills and business decision-making ability
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Reliable, organized, and self-driven with strong communication skills
• Passion for the automotive industry is a must
