Job summary

Mountain Engineering is seeking an experienced Vegetation Program Lead to manage and lead vegetation management operations in the Marin area, ensuring compliance with PG&E standards and safety regulations. The VPL will oversee contractor work and lead project teams, leveraging extensive experience in hazard tree removal and emergency response.

The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of vegetation management practices, and the ability to coordinate with PG&E representatives and contractors

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Two years of job-related experience with at least one year in a leadership role.
• Two years of experience in emergency response and hazard tree removal projects.
• Familiarity with PG&E vegetation management practices, line clearances and fire prevention requirements.

Responsibilities

• Leads vegetation management operations and outside contractor work performance.
• Leads project teams to complete required tasks.
• Performs lead duties for emergency response in accordance with safety requirements, laws, regulations, and labor agreements.
• Supports process improvement initiatives and coordination of VM activities.
• Assists with difficult customers under direction of the Program Manager.
• Clarifies expectations and program direction for contractor employees.
• Monitors progress of pre-inspection and tree work completion.
• Assists in agency meetings and field visits to review VM work.
