Job summary

Mountain Engineering is seeking a Vegetation Program Lead to manage vegetation management operations for PG&E in the North Bay area. The role requires leading contractor teams, directing emergency response, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across projects.

Ideal candidates bring leadership experience, knowledge of arboricultural practices, and a collaborative approach to coordinate with PG&E and contractors while driving process improvements and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Two years in a leadership role (team or project lead).
• Two years in emergency response and/or hazard tree removal projects along utility rights of way.
• Familiar with vegetation management contractors’ work practices, proper arboricultural techniques and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Leads vegetation management operations and outside contractor work performance.
• Solves moderate to highly complex problems independently and guides solutions.
• Leads project teams to complete tasks and manage schedules.
• Acts as lead in emergency response per safety laws and labor agreements.
• Aids in process improvements and coordination of VM activities.
• Interfaces with PG&E representatives and contractors to set expectations and directions.
