Description:

Enjoy working outdoors? Would you like to gain experience in Forestry? ACRT Pacific is seeking energetic entry-level professionals who enjoy outdoor work. This full-time role offers an opportunity to gain Forestry experience. Our Vegetation Management Inspectors typically have backgrounds in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, biology, environmental studies, conservation, or related fields, and are interested in gaining practical experience.

Inspectors patrol for hazard trees, perform identification, inspection, and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines, and assist in submitting inspection results with recommendations. They plan, direct, and coordinate activities of tree clearance crews, negotiate access issues, and serve as liaisons between clients, crews, and customers.

Note: This is a safety-sensitive position.

• Active TRAQ Certification required

Compensation: May include a sign-on bonus and retention incentives totaling $3000.00.

Location: Must reside or be willing to relocate within 50 miles of Grass Valley, CA.

Lodging Assistance: For out-of-state or remote applicants, hotel accommodations are provided during the project duration, covered until informed otherwise.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform circuit patrols following VM plans and standards.
• Identify and prescribe tree work along PG&E rights-of-way, document inspections.
• Understand the scope and standards of inspections.
• Notify property owners and obtain necessary permissions for tree work.
• Act as the VM contact for new and reconstruction work.
• Verify work completion and quality through inspections.
• Investigate outages related to trees and attend outage meetings.
• Manage VM tags, track work, and communicate with customers.
• Support emergency responses and dispatch tree crews as needed.
• Complete tasks independently and support vegetation project oversight.
• Participate in safety meetings and act as a customer relations representative.
• Ensure compliance with permits, environmental measures, and regulations.
• Proficiently use electronic devices and documentation tools.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Class C driver’s license
• At least 1 year of experience as a VMI or similar role
• *Active TRAQ Certification required*
• Willing to reside or relocate within 50 miles of Grass Valley, CA
