Job summary
Jobtailor is seeking a vegetation management field specialist to support Transmission and Distribution projects across outdoor rights‑of‑way. The role prioritizes safety, accuracy, and hands‑on field work in varied outdoor conditions, requiring strong customer communication with property owners.

Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in vegetation management, natural resources, field operations, arboriculture, or environmental work.
- Technical diploma or associate degree (or equivalent experience) in Natural Resources, Environmental Sciences, Biology, or Agronomy.
- Ability to travel up to 20% and work outdoors in varying conditions.
- Valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field assessments of vegetation conditions near Transmission and Distribution circuits.
- Develop site-specific vegetation maintenance prescriptions for projects.
- Patrol rights-of-way, document vegetation conditions, and recommend actions.
- Identify, document, and mark danger trees and hazards.
- Notify property owners and negotiate permissions for vegetation control.
- Support foremen and crews, and perform post-work quality inspections.
- Conduct contractor safety oversight and inspections.
- Follow safety, regulatory procedures and participate in storm restoration tasks.
- Provide field support during storms or emergencies.
- Perform additional role-aligned tasks to support team goals.
