Job summary

DJ's Landscape Management in Michigan is seeking a Vegetation Control Crew Lead to supervise and execute vegetation control for commercial clients. You will lead a crew, prepare and drive equipment, and ensure landscapes meet the highest standards.

A valid Core and Category 6 certification for Right-of-Way and Weed Control, the ability to identify Michigan weeds, and strong safety practices are essential. Competitive hourly pay and benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk for long periods of time.
• Capable of carrying a backpack sprayer weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Capable of working independently or with a lawn care crew.
• Ability to identify common weeds of Michigan.
• Operate and care for assigned equipment.
• Read map directions from a mobile device or hard copy.
• Desire to work daily at the highest level of professionalism, quality, and performance.
• Desire to work with a team to accomplish goals.
• Read pesticide labels and apply according to label rates.
• Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.

Vegetation Control Crew Lead

We are seeking a Vegetation Control Crew Leader to join our team. This role involves managing vegetation control for our commercial clients and ensuring landscapes are maintained to the highest standards. Crew Leaders are also responsible for preparing and driving company equipment, directing, and developing their crews. The ideal candidate will be certified in Core and Category 6 (Right-of-Way and Weed Control) to perform weed spraying duties effectively and safely.

• Competitive base pay: $18 - $21 per hour, based on experience.
