Job summary

DJ's Landscape Management is seeking a hands-on Vegetation Control Crew Lead to direct a small team and keep our commercial client sites looking sharp all season long. You’ll apply weed control and spray applications, with training and licensing sponsorship available to advance your career.

Qualifications

• The ability to walk for long periods of time
• Able to carry a backpack sprayer weighing up to 50 pounds
• The capacity to work independently and lead a small crew
• The ability to identify common weeds of Minnesota
• The ability to operate and care for assigned equipment
• Skill in reading map directions from a mobile device or hard copy
• Desire to work daily at the highest level of professionalism, quality, and performance
• Desire to work with a team to accomplish goals
• Ability to bend, squat, and lift for long periods of time
• Able to work outdoors in a wide variety of conditions for an extended period of time.
• A valid license or the ability to obtain one.
• Ability to read pesticide labels and accurately measure pesticides according to label rate.
• Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Smartphone required

Responsibilities

• Direct a small vegetation control crew on commercial sites
• Lead daily plant care and weed control activities to maintain site appearance
• Ensure safety protocols are followed and equipment is properly used
• Coordinate with clients and team to meet seasonal targets
