Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Market Development Representative to join our Vegetable Seed business in Florida. You will act as the technical expert within the commercial team, collaborating across R&D, Marketing, and Sales to drive go-to-market strategies and the adoption of technologies and products.

You will own trialing activities for late-stage varieties, build territory plans with Sales and R&D, and use data to position products, defend market share, and transfer knowledge to the market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science required.
• Strong agronomic knowledge of vegetable crops.
• Customer-focused with sales orientation in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in English (written/verbal) at least 50%.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the territory, with occasional national travel.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be the technical expert within the commercial organization, partnering across functions to develop go-to-market strategies and drive adoption of technologies and products.
• Take ownership of trialing and activities for late-stage varieties and market extensions in local territories with Sales and R&D.
• Use strategic trialing and data to position products, defend and grow market share, and support R&D knowledge transfer.
• Communicate product positioning and performance using digital data collection methods to stakeholders.
• Provide technical support to sales and marketing on positioning of varieties and materials.
• Leverage networks to access market opportunities and influence cross-functional decisions across the region.
• Provide agronomic recommendations to enhance product performance in varied environments.
