Job summary

BEST Crowd Management is seeking an Event Security Officer to join the Las Vegas Strip events team. This part-time role focuses on safety, visible presence, and professional conduct to protect attendees, staff, and property.

You will patrol, screen, assist guests, coordinate with staff and emergency services, and report incidents while upholding company policies. Requirements include being 18+, HS diploma, ability to stand, pass background and drug tests, and willingness to obtain a security

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).
• Previous experience in event security or related field is advantageous.
• Strong physical fitness to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player with diverse colleagues.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid security license or willingness to obtain one if required.
• Pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional presence to client and BEST standards.
• Patrol assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity and ensure safety.
• Monitor access points, conduct bag checks, entry screenings, and stay vigilant for suspicious activity.
• Respond to security incidents or emergencies, including medical situations.
• Coordinate with event staff, law enforcement, and emergency services.
• Provide customer service by assisting attendees and giving directions.
• Report security incidents to supervisors or medical personnel.
• Document relevant activities and submit reports to leadership.
• Uphold company policies and security guidelines.
