Job summary

Rio Las Vegas is seeking a Special Events Security Officer to maintain a safe environment during high-traffic events. You will monitor venues, control access, and assist guests, staff, and organizers while following security procedures.

Responsibilities include escorts, bag checks, incident reporting, and cooperation with law enforcement when needed. Flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, are required.

Qualifications

• Attend and complete the Security Academy within the first 30 days of employment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, including ability to maintain composure under stress.
• Flexible shifts, available to work nights and weekends, including holidays.
• Ability to make quick decisions and/or take charge of potentially volatile situations.
• Ability to de-escalate situations using appropriate force.
• Experience with front-of-house emergency procedures and venue safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and well-being of guests and team members.
• Greet, escort, and assist guests and customers as needed.
• Set up wanding stations and check bags entering the venue.
• Provide support to security staff and Showroom Management.
• Assist law enforcement with incidents and testimony when required.
• Conduct patrols and identify safety hazards and security gaps.
• Document incidents and file required reports.
• Assist with Lost and Found inquiries and VIP seating coordination.
• Respond to patron inquiries and ensure ADA accessibility.
