Rio Las Vegas is seeking a dedicated Special Events Security Officer to maintain a safe, secure environment during high-traffic events. You will monitor spaces, control access, escort VIP guests, and assist law enforcement as needed.

Responsibilities include incident documentation, first aid, money handling escorts, and ensuring emergency procedures are followed. Flexible shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Security Academy or equivalent within first 30 days of employment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, including ability to maintain composure under stress.
• Flexible shifts, available to work nights and weekends, including holidays.
• Ability to make a quick decision and take charge of potentially volatile situations.
• Ability to de-escalate incidents using training and force continuum.
• Familiar with emergency procedures and operation of emergency exits and equipment.
• Assist with injuries or medical problems as needed.
• Prior military, police, or security background is a plus, but not required.

Responsabilités

• Maintain safety and well-being of guests and team members.
• Provide directions and escorts to guests in need.
• Set up wanding stations and check bags entering the venue.
• Communicate effectively with Security and Showroom Management.
• Assist civil authorities and testify when required.
• Conduct money handling escorts and jackpot verifications.
• Provide first aid/CPR if necessary.
• Patrol property to identify hazards and security gaps.
• Investigate and document incidents per policy.
• Assist Lost and Found inquiries.
• Enforce venue rules and safety regulations.
• Ensure theater is operational on arrival and check exits.
• Work with Box Office for VIP seating arrangements.
• Assess flow of customers and use sound judgement.
• Monitor assigned areas for safety and cleanliness.
• Respond promptly to patron needs and questions.
• Document reports and depart as directed.
