Job summary

Rio Las Vegas is seeking a Security Officer for Special Events to maintain a safe, secure environment during high-traffic events, functions, and performances. You will monitor spaces, control access, respond to incidents, and support guests, staff, and organizers.

This full-time role requires flexible nights and weekends and completion of the Security Academy within 30 days. You will work with Showroom Management, enforce venue rules, and assist in emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Attend and complete Security Academy within first 30 days of employment.
• Flexible shifts, nights and weekends, including holidays.
• Ability to make quick decisions and de-escalate volatile or unpleasant situations.
• Ability to document and write detailed statements and reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the safety and well-being of guests and team members.
• Give directions and escorts to guests in need.
• Set up wanding stations and check bags entering the venue.
• Communicate effectively with Security and Showroom Management.
• Assist with incidents, investigations and testimony when required.
• Provide prompt answers and assistance to patrons' needs.
• Submit reports and assist with Lost and Found procedures.
