Job summary

McGough Construction seeks a VDC Project Engineer to support VDC Managers and learn multiple VDC roles. You will maintain VDC content standards, develop 3D models for site logistics and MEP coordination, and contribute to BIM work across projects.

You will use Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp and other tools to visualize constructability and bid on improvements. This role requires curiosity, organization, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or equivalent AEC experience.
• Minimum of 2 internship experiences with documented opportunities and responsibilities.
• Preferred: BIM/VDC experience; familiarity with drones and related software.

Responsibilities

• Support VDC Project Managers in producing VDC deliverables for assigned projects.
• Update VDC content libraries and standard work documentation.
• Develop 3D models for site logistics, phase planning, virtual mockups, and MEP coordination.
• Use BIM for visualization, constructability reviews, and design coordination.
• Collaborate on BIM Execution Plans development and implementation.
• Create 2D/3D/4D/5D deliverables using Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Fuzor, cmBuilder.
• Support 3D coordination and clash detection with design teams, subs, and fabricators.
• Provide training and technical support on VDC deliverables and BIM tools.
• Contribute lessons learned and support continuous VDC process improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
