Job summary

Power Design is seeking a VDC Design Manager to lead virtual design and coordination for complex projects, overseeing BIM deliverables, clash detection, constructability reviews, and installation planning from preconstruction through design completion.

You will partner with operations, engineers, consultants, and trade partners to develop cost‑effective, constructible solutions, guide the VDC team, and ensure compliance with codes and Power Design standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction, VDC, BIM modeling, detailing, coordination, or installation within Mechanical or Plumbing systems.
• Strong understanding of codes, industry standards, and installation best practices.
• Ability to lead coordination efforts and resolve conflicts.
• Interpretation of drawings, specifications, submittals, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the VDC coordination process from preconstruction through design completion.
• Manage project coordination schedules, deliverables, and timelines.
• Lead meetings and clash detection efforts and resolve conflicts.
• Develop, review, and maintain BIM models and installation documentation.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and field teams to support constructability reviews.
• Provide technical guidance to VDC team members and stakeholders.
