Job summary
Power Design is seeking a VDC Assistant Design Manager in New York to support preconstruction and design coordination using BIM technologies. You will develop detailed coordination models, installation designs, shop drawings, and construction documentation under the guidance of a VDC Design Manager.
The role requires strong experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, plus the ability to coordinate with project teams, consultants, and trade partners to deliver cost-effective, code-compliant
Qualifications
- Experience with BIM modeling and project coordination on electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and contract documents.
- Knowledge of BIM Execution Plans and prefabrication planning is a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Support preconstruction and design coordination under supervision.
- Develop and maintain BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks.
- Participate in clash detection and coordination meetings with stakeholders.
- Assist with reviews of contract documents and installation drawings.
