Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Lead to manage and optimize digital delivery in the Advanced Manufacturing sector. The role combines on-site leadership with design and construction BIM execution, coordinating 3D, 4D, and 5D deliverables, and overseeing the Common Data Environment across EPCM projects.

You will drive VDC strategy, mentor teams, and collaborate with clients and field operations.

Qualifications

At least 7 years of experience in VDC/BIM roles within the construction industry.
Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, Revizto and Autodesk Construction Cloud
Experience with laser scanning and point cloud data management
Excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving skills
Willingness to work on site at a project near Corpus Christi, TX
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field

Responsibilities

Provide VDC/BIM/Digital Delivery management and leadership aligning technologies with goals.
Define digital delivery scope for project estimates and coordinate setup and model deliverables.
Create and implement BIM Execution Plans for EPCM and integrate VDC tasks (3D, 4D, 5D).
Manage Common Data Environment from design to construction and track clash detection.
Lead clash resolution meetings and act as BIM SME on projects.
Coordinate laser scan data integration and Scan‑to‑BIM efforts.
Manage on-site VDC processes and field trainings for teams.
