PCL Construction, Inc. in San Diego, California is seeking a VDC Engineer to lead model coordination for complex multi‑trade civil projects. You will work with Revit, Civil 3D, ACC Model Coordination and Navisworks to identify clashes, improve constructability and drive resolutions on site.

Experience with piping, underground utilities and concrete coordination is a strong asset. You’ll collaborate with field teams, designers, engineers and trade partners to translate models into actionable

Formación

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a buildings industry‑related discipline (AEC, civil, architectural).
• 5 to 7 years of construction experience including 2 to 3 years in Virtual Design and Construction.
• Strong understanding of construction sequences and BIM workflows.
• Ability to manage project models and ensure quality of VDC deliverables.
• Proficiency reading 2D/3D drawings and translating to BIM models.
• Experience with coordinating trade detailing and design deliverables.
• Knowledge of BIM execution plans and model coordination processes.

Responsabilidades

• Ensures multidiscipline construction technologies and standards are current and applied.
• Collaborates with project team to develop construction-site logistics models.
• Coordinates and manages trade detailing and design deliverables.
• Liaises between design teams and construction teams.
• Reviews scopes during pursuit to incorporate VDC tools and processes.
• Participates in scoping design deliverables and trade detailing requirements.
• Supports project documentation through design and trade partners.
• Assists with BIM execution plan review and contract language with management.
• Sets up trade partner model coordination processes for handover to project teams.
• Keeps multidiscipline construction models current and aligned with standards.
• Creates and coordinates processing of RFIs with the project team.
• Recognizes opportunities to apply integrated construction technology.
