Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a seasoned Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Specialist to lead BIM coordination on a Bridgewater, NJ project. You will collaborate with design, engineering, and field teams to review models, run VDC workflows, and ensure buildable, coordinated deliverables on site.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in VDC or related field, 4+ years of experience, and proficiency with BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD) and VR/AR tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) or related technology, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, with minimum 4 years of related experience.
• CM-BIM designation credits preferred.
• Ability to read/interpret contract docs, drawings, specs, schedules.
• Knowledge of industry standards, codes related to VDC.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent organizational skills; manage multiple priorities.
• Basic scripting/coding skills (Dynamo, Python).
• Proficiency with BIM tools and related software.

Responsibilities

• Lead VDC processes and review design models for construction projects on site.
• Coordinate BIM workflows with stakeholders and ensure constructability.
• Conduct BIM coordination meetings and track action items.
• Support RFIs, submittals, and change management with VDC input.
• Prepare quantity variance reports for estimation and QC.
• Develop site presence to resolve constructability issues.
• Execute BIM execution plans with the VDC team.
• Explore innovative VDC tools and capture lessons learned.
