Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking an entry-level VDC Engineer in Southern California to support BIM implementation, construction technology, and related processes across proposals, preconstruction, and operations.

The role focuses on producing models, offering technology services, and collaborating with clients, designers, and subcontractors to drive project success using BIM and related tools.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience as a project engineer, estimator, VDC Engineer or BIM/technology experience.
• Proficiency with BIM tools and basic PC software.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop models to generate images, videos and other BIM content for proposals.
• Assist in developing the BIM Execution Plan for new projects.
• Support preconstruction workflows and BIM tool usage during proposals and operations.
• Set up project models for coordination and clash detection; facilitate BIM-related meetings.
• Train project teams on BIM applications and processes.
