Balfour Beatty US is seeking a VDC Manager/Senior VDC Manager in San Diego to lead BIM/tech across pursuit, preconstruction, and operations. The role includes guiding BIM execution, training teams, and ensuring client BIM standards are met to deliver project value.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in a relevant field and 8+ years in BIM/technology implementation, mastery of Procore, Bluebeam, Revit, Navisworks, and related tools, with a proven track record of delivering across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Design or related field.
• 8+ years of BIM/technology implementation experience.
• Experienced with team-based delivery, collaboration, contracting and design-build.
• Proficient with basic PC applications (email, internet, Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).
• Proficient with Procore and Bluebeam; Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp, InfraWorks, and BIM 360.
• Knowledgeable with laser scanners, drones, VR/AR, and robotic total stations.

Responsibilities

• Reviews RFP BIM requirements; develops BIM proposal strategy for RFP and presentations.
• Develops case studies to show BIM/Technology value to clients.
• Develops and enforces BIM Execution Plan on new projects.
• Leads the execution of BIM’s role in preconstruction workflows.
• Leads BIM kickoff meetings with project team and subcontractors.
• Leads coordination efforts interfacing with project team, subcontractors and design partners.
• Develops BIM processes and SOPs for internal use and knowledge sharing.
• Maintains BIM knowledge database, case studies, lessons learned and distributes knowledge.
• Builds relationships with customers, design teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Attends industry and client functions to enhance company image and seek new opportunities.
