Job summary

Haselden Construction is seeking a VDC Engineer to lead and support Virtual Design and Construction activities across project lifecycles. You will serve as the Model Manager, guiding teams, subcontractors, and clients to improve constructability and execution.

You will coordinate with subcontractors, develop models to answer contractor questions, and ensure updated BIM models are distributed. Strong English communication and 5+ years in construction are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience on construction projects in a role such as Drafter, Field Engineer, Project Engineer, or equivalent.
• Proven ability to read, interpret, and understand construction plans and specifications.
• Demonstrated proficiency with VDC software including Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Model Manager for assigned projects and provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Coordinate with Subcontractors and develop models illustrating contractor questions and solutions.
• Prepare VDC Guidelines (BIMxP) for project requirements and train personnel in BIM tools.
• Coordinate models with internal and subcontractor details; update as-built BIM when applicable.
• Publish coordinated models to Procore and manage model coordination meetings.
• Assist in project scheduling with 4D simulations and design phase scheduling.
