Job summary

Suffolk Construction seeks an experienced VDC Engineer to support Digital Engineering, Virtual Design & Construction, and Plan + Control for our Mission Critical business. You will develop 3D/4D/5D models, run clash coordination, and ensure timely issue resolution with project teams and vendors.

Required 4-year degree and 1–5 years of VDC design/construction experience; proficiency with Procore, Autodesk Suite, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in an accredited industry related curriculum.
• 1–5 years of VDC related design and/or construction experience.
• Ability to read and understand contract documents and drawings, and to navigate 3D models.
• Competency with Procore, Autodesk Suite, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D, 4D, and 5D models for site safety and logistics plans and trade coordination.
• Create clash reports for coordination meetings; run coordination meetings; capture minutes and RFIs.
• Perform design model quality control reviews and generate reports.
• Support Plan + Control management and delivery with project teams and vendors.
• Manage vendor relationships and billing; collect and report KPI data.
• Oversee scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for Digital Engineering services.
• Provide training and support of software to project teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with project teams and stakeholders.
