Ryan Companies US, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a VDC Engineer to join our team. This role will provide routine BIM administration and coordination for assigned projects, creating models and documents and delivering BIM support to the project team.

You will collaborate with design and construction teams to assemble 3D content, support proposal preparation, interviews, estimating, scheduling, logistics and procurement, and help resolve conflicts before construction begins.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in the construction or design field.
• Familiarity with BIM software and coordination processes.
• Ability to learn multiple construction scheduling techniques.
• Strong interest in construction-related technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide BIM administration and coordination for assigned projects.
• Deliver models and documents and supply BIM technical support to the project team.
• Assemble 3D content modeled by others and support proposals, estimating and scheduling activities.
• Assist with conflict resolution and logistics before physical construction commences.

The Virtual Design Construction Engineer will provide routine Building Information Modeling (BIM) administration and coordination to assigned projects. This position will be responsible for providing models and documents, providing BIM technical support, and assembling 3D content modeled by others. All activities will be performed in support of the Ryan Companies project team. The VDC Engineer assists projects teams with proposal preparation, interview media, estimating, scheduling, logistics, procurement, and conflict resolution before physical construction commences.

You will really standout if you have:

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Construction Engineering/Management, Architecture or Engineering.
• Minimum of 1 year in the construction or design field.
• Software system implementation and/or upgrades experience preferred.
• General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
• Strong interest in construction related technology.
• Ability to quickly learn multiple applications related to virtual construction (Navisworks, Revit, Civil 3D, Sketchup, Horizontal Glue, VICO, Tekla).
• Basic understanding of multiple construction scheduling techniques.
• Understanding of application development, customization and implementation.
• Ability to prioritize workload and create action plans to ensure commitments are met.
