Ryan Companies US, Inc. is hiring a VDC Engineer to join our team in Austin. The role focuses on BIM administration and coordination to support project teams from proposal through construction.

The ideal candidate brings a BIM background, one year of construction or design experience, and a strong interest in construction technology as you work with Navisworks, Revit, Civil 3D, SketchUp and other tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction-related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in construction or design field.
• Experience with BIM systems and software integration is a plus.
• Ability to learn multiple applications for virtual construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide BIM administration and coordination for assigned projects.

The Virtual Design Construction Engineer will provide routine Building Information Modeling (BIM) administration and coordination to assigned projects. This position will be responsible for providing models and documents, providing BIM technical support, and assembling 3D content modeled by others. All activities will be performed in support of the Ryan Companies project team. The VDC Engineer assists projects teams with proposal preparation, interview media, estimating, scheduling, logistics, procurement, and conflict resolution before physical construction commences.

You will really standout if you have:

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Construction Engineering/Management, Architecture or Engineering.
• Minimum of 1 year in the construction or design field.
• Software system implementation and/or upgrades experience preferred.
• General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
• Strong interest in construction related technology.
• Ability to quickly learn multiple applications related to virtual construction (Navisworks, Revit, Civil 3D, Sketchup, Horizontal Glue, VICO, Tekla).
• Basic understanding of multiple construction scheduling techniques.
• Understanding of application development, customization and implementation.
• Ability to prioritize workload and create action plans to ensure commitments are met.
