Turner Construction Company seeks a strategic VDC leader to manage the Virtual Design & Construction department across Memphis-area offices, guiding preconstruction, engineering, and field installation of VDC deliverables. You will align with project goals, budgets, and client expectations, driving technical excellence and profitability.

The role blends senior program management with hands-on leadership, budget governance, talent development, and cross-team collaboration to advance VDC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction or VDC-related field with 8+ years experience or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of VDC tools and applications in construction, cost, scheduling, and coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Advanced project management expertise with process development and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Manage VDC department, budgets, forecasting, and actuals for resources and hardware/software.
• Develop workforce plans, hiring processes, and staff assignments.
• Oversee VDC staff development and performance; implement training.
• Collaborate with HR to define staffing needs and talent pipelines; participate in hiring.
• Draft and approve VDC action plans and schedules to align with RFPs.
• Maintain alignment with VDC leadership and office strategies.
• Support Business Development with content and visuals for RFP responses.
• Define and keep current VDC services and rate menus for clients.
• Lead continuous improvement of VDC tools, processes, and methodologies.
• Research pilots of digital tools and in-house development opportunities.
• Network with external industry groups to identify VDC revenue streams.
• Standardize project workflows, archiving, and lessons learned.
• Visit job sites to assist with setup and troubleshoot VDC issues.
• Identify opportunities for VDC reimbursement and optimize cost centers.
• Supervise team, participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance feedback.
