Job summary

Hoar Holdings in Birmingham, AL, is seeking an Assistant Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Manager to support design and trade partner coordination and lead multiple deliverables. The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency in visualizing constructability; you may lead 1-3 small projects and travel up to 15%.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and trade partners to implement VDC strategies and BIM plans, mentoring VDC staff and ensuring project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Const Mgmt, Architecture, Engineering or related field, or equiv AEC experience preferred.
• 2-5 years BIM coordination experience preferred.
• 2-5 years experience in Precon, Operations, or VDC-related role.
• Intermediate level software knowledge in Autodesk packages (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.) and other platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP coordination meeting discussions.
• Identify constructability issues, missing information, and notify the project team of these issues and RFIs.
• Maintain open communication with project teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, project team members, and trade contractors to solve problems.
