Hoar Holdings is seeking an Assistant VDC Manager to support design and trade partner coordination on multiple projects in Austin, TX. You will help lead two to four deliverables simultaneously, coordinate MEP discussions, and maintain clear communication with project teams.

The role requires BIM coordination experience, proficiency in Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Occasional travel up to 15% and strong problem-solving skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Const Mgmt, Architecture, Engineering or related field, or equiv AEC experience preferred.
• 2-5 years BIM coordination experience preferred.
• 2-5 years experience working in Precon, Operations, or VDC-related role.
• Intermediate level software knowledge in Autodesk packages (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks) and other platforms.
• Proficiency in Navisworks required; Revit, Assemble, Revizto preferred.
• Experience creating custom Revit families.

Responsabilités

• Lead MEP coordination meeting discussions.
• Identify constructability issues and communicate needs for RFIs.
• Maintain open communication with project teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and trade contractors to solve problems.
• Assist in developing project‑specific VDC strategies, scope, and plans.
• Support training in Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, etc.
• Administer and support VDC coordination kick-off meetings and follow-ups.
• Prepare BIM plans and strategy guidelines for project requirements.
• Support implementation of project VDC strategy and initiatives.
• Provide project leadership and mentoring in VDC and related tech.
• Assist in language creation for BIM Execution Plans.
• Support pre-construction modeling for constructability reviews, quantity take-offs, scheduling, and cost estimates; create virtual mockups.
• Assist in laser scan planning and services for project teams.
• Coordinate with trade partners to manage Model Based Submittals.
• Collect building models, check conflicts, document and manage changes.
• Host coordination sessions with trade contractors.
• Oversee on-site VDC deliverables and team efforts.
• Develop and maintain project coordination schedules; coach VDC engineers.
• Set up VDC field equipment and software such as total stations, laser scanners, UAVs.
