Job summary

Hoar seeks an Assistant VDC Manager to support design and trade partner coordination. You will help lead two to four deliverables, coordinate MEP clashes, and maintain open communication with project teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.

The role requires strong visualization of constructability, proficiency with Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, and related tools; travel up to 15% is possible. Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years BIM/VDC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Const Mgmt, Architecture, Engineering or related field, or equiv AEC experience preferred
• 2-5 years BIM coordination experience preferred
• 2-5 years experience in Precon, Operations, or VDC-related role
• Intermediate level software knowledge in Autodesk packages (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.) and other platforms
• Proficiency in Navisworks required; Revit, Assemble, Revizto preferred but not required
• Experience creating custom Revit families
• Familiarity with construction concepts, practices, and procedures
• Strong technical and creative problem-solving abilities
• Valid Driver's License required

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP coordination meeting discussions
• Identify constructability issues and notify the team of RFIs
• Maintain open communication with project teams to resolve issues
• Engage in collaborative problem solving with architects, engineers and trade contractors
• Assist in developing VDC strategies, scope and plan
• Support training in Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, etc.
• Administer VDC coordination kick-off and follow-up meetings
• Assist in BIM plan development and BIM strategy
• Support implementation of VDC strategy and initiatives
• Provide project leadership and mentoring in VDC fields
• Assist in language creation for BIM Execution Plans
• Support pre-construction by modeling for constructability reviews and take-offs
