Job summary

Sundt Construction, a 100% employee-owned contractor, seeks a Virtual Construction Technician to model projects in 3D/4D/5D. You will read blueprints and specs, create models for Architectural, Structural and MEP systems, and ensure BIM language aligns with project delivery.

You will train peers and review bid documents for BIM compliance. Ideal candidates have a four-year CM/engineering/architecture degree, 4+ years in construction, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and CPM

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in CM, engineering or architecture required.
• 3+ years blueprint/specification reading experience.
• 3+ years using AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or CPM scheduling software.
• 4+ years of construction experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models of Architectural, Structural and MEP systems.
• Maintain model libraries using Uniformat or MasterFormat codes.
• Support the company's strategic planning efforts.
• Perform primary duties of a Virtual Construction Technician.
• Review bid scope documents for BIM language based on project delivery type.
• Train virtual construction technicians in company-approved software.
• Walk through the model to identify elements out of place.
