Job summary
Okland Construction in Salt Lake City is seeking a VDC Engineer to support modeling, coordination, and estimating across diverse projects. You will work with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Assemble to build and coordinate 2D/3D models for site logistics, sequencing, and MEP coordination.
The role emphasizes collaboration with project teams, 4D scheduling, and applying construction technology to improve safety, efficiency, and constructability on complex projects.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in commercial construction, VDC, BIM coordination, or related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with BIM/VDC technologies and coordination of 2D/3D models for building, site, and MEP coordination.
- Familiarity with 4D scheduling, reality capture technologies, point cloud processing, and drone applications is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 2D and 3D construction models to support project planning, coordination, and execution.
- Create detailed visual deliverables such as site logistics plans, sequencing graphics, and coordination drawings.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, civil, and MEP teams to resolve conflicts early.
- Support 4D scheduling and project visualization for active projects and preconstruction pursuits.
