Job summary

PCL Buildings Inc. is seeking a VDC Manager to support its national data center business. You will oversee multidiscipline models, digital workflows, and VDC practices to drive project delivery and efficiency.

Lead staffing coordination, participate in pursuits, and Collaborate with design and construction teams. Strong 3D modeling, BIM, and construction technology experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in building-industry field (AEC, civil, construction).
• 8–10 years in construction with 4–5 years in VDC.
• Strong understanding of construction sequences.
• Experience implementing construction technology.
• Ability to provide project model management.
• Proficient reading 2D/3D drawings and translate to BIM.

Responsibilities

• Ensures multidiscipline construction models are current and modeling standards are followed.
• Manages integrated construction resource allocation at the district level and leads department process improvement activities.
• Liaises with estimating to establish and manage staffing resources and budgets for new pursuits and projects.
• Participates in project interviews and proposal writing for VDC and related technologies.
• Supports the setup, management and best practices of digital workflows.
• Coordinates and manages trade detailing and design deliverables.
• Liaises between design and construction teams.
• During pursuit stage, works with project team to review and recommend scopes that VDC tools can be incorporated.
• Participates in scoping design deliverables and trade detailing requirements.
• Participates in pursuit and proposal material development and delivery.
