Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Integrated Construction Manager to lead VDC processes in its Data Center Group. You will implement 3D/4D modeling, coordinate with design and preconstruction teams, and oversee the integrated construction team to deliver projects with high integrity and collaboration.

You will guide the development of the VDC Playbook, manage lessons learned, and drive the use of advanced software tools such as Revit, Navisworks, and Revizto.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum eight years of progressively challenging construction management experience or equivalent combining education and experience.
• Current driver’s license.
• Experience managing and leading a dynamic team.
• Licensure in professional field is preferred.
• High level of competency with advanced software (2D, 3D and 4D).
• Proficiency with Autodesk Building Design Systems (Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Civil3D, 3Ds Max, Navisworks).
• Revizto, Synchro, Enscape, ArcGIS, Drone Deploy.
• Rendering and Animation experience a plus.
• Part 107 license a plus prior to joining, but essential to acquire early to support program’s reality capture requirements

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and oversee VDC processes through appropriate technology platforms.
• Provide supervision and oversight of group’s integrated construction team.
• Input towards improving capture and deployment of lessons learned and best practices; develop the VDC Playbook.
• Coordinate with project leadership, design team, and preconstruction services.
• Oversee production and management of 3D and 4D models.
• Establish the scope of work for projects.
• Set the schedule and deliverables for integrated delivery services.
• Oversee construction coordination.
• Communicate model generated information to project team.
• Capture, manage and communicate reality capture data and status visualizations.
• Implement 3D technology during construction.
• Participate in R&D of new technologies.
• Lead or participate in internal training.
• Develop or update project BIM to support self-performed scope or 3D coordination.
• Attend, participate, and present at BIM/VDC conferences and meetings.
• Manage others and potentially lead to leadership roles within the group.
• Provide support to the group beyond current location.
