Role: Sr Software Engineer

Location: Dallas TX

Position Overview:

Blue Yonder is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to join our innovative team dedicated to optimizing supply chain operations through cutting-edge solutions. In this role, you will be working in developing & maintaining an industry-standard Category Management desktop application. • Software: VC++, MFC UI, C# .Net, WPF, Rest API, SQL Server, Oracle
• Windows

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Consistently deliver quality in design and implementation, helping shape what is built.
2. Develop quality software according to Blue Yonder standards.
3. Prioritize issues in the backlog and support team members.
4. Participate in team activities like backlog grooming, planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
5. Translate business requirements into user stories and seek stakeholder feedback.
6. Lead in designing individual stories and translating designs into subtasks.
7. Consider information security in coding and reviews.
8. Stay updated with industry trends and research.
9. Act as an expert and go-to person for related issues.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Raise operational concerns during design.
2. Create user stories to address operational pain points.
3. Manage complex changes and stakeholder expectations.
4. Resolve incidents independently and conduct post-mortem analyses.
5. Participate actively in code reviews.
6. Onboard new team members and mentor junior engineers.
7. Understand functional and technical requirements.
8. Identify refactoring opportunities and improve CI pipelines.
9. Perform performance analyses and problem-solving.
10. Communicate effectively about changes and impediments.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience in software development.
• Expertise in Windows development using VC++, MFC UI, C#, Webservices.
• Experience with COM, DCOM, T-SQL, PL/SQL, XML, WPF, JSON, WebSockets, Git.
• Full stack development capability.
• Ability to debug and resolve issues deeply.
• Exposure to Azure, AI/ML, scripting is a plus.
• Strong understanding of OO design and programming practices.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality software on time.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $90,821 - $143,896. Compensation will be based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Benefits include:
