Role: Sr Software Engineer

Location: Dallas TX

Position Overview:

Blue Yonder is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to join our innovative team dedicated to optimizing supply chain operations through cutting-edge solutions. In this role, you will be developing and maintaining an industry-standard Category Management desktop application. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality software according to Blue Yonder standards, including effective test code.
• Prioritize issues in the backlog, support team members, and participate in team activities like backlog grooming, planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Translate business requirements into user stories, seek stakeholder feedback, and lead design efforts for individual stories.
• Consider information security in coding and reviews, stay updated with industry trends, and act as an expert in your area.
• Raise operational concerns, produce actionable user stories, plan complex changes, and resolve incidents independently.
• Mentor junior engineers, understand software requirements, and identify refactoring opportunities.
• Improve the team's CI pipeline, perform performance analyses, and demonstrate problem-solving abilities.
• Communicate effectively about the impact of changes, proactively address impediments, and align with company values and visions.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with a minimum of 8+ years of software development experience, especially in C++.
• Expertise in Windows development using VC++, MFC UI, C#, Webservices, with experience in COM, DCOM, T-SQL, PL/SQL, XML, WPF, JSON, WebSockets, Git.
• Full stack development capability, debugging skills, and familiarity with Azure and AI/ML concepts are a plus.
• Strong understanding of OO design, product development cycles, and high-quality software delivery.
• Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively.
