Job Description:
This posting is for multiple technology positions across various Teams in Southwest's Warrior Hire Program. The mission of this program is to recruit and hire transitioning Veterans, guiding and supporting them through the start of their corporate careers by providing opportunities for professional growth, camaraderie, and mentorship. Additional details:
- Revenue Accounting Technology team: Supports revenue accounting applications like SIRAX and SAP BRIM. The Engineer collaborates with Finance Teams and has opportunities to innovate and learn. Preferred experience includes AWS Transfer Family, Lambda, CloudWatch, S3, Appflow, SIRAX (SAP Netweaver), SAP PI, SAP BRIM, Java, Python, Jira, Xray, and Agile/Scrum.
- AI Engineering team: Responsible for enabling AI and Machine Learning capabilities. Preferred experience includes Boto (Python AWS libraries), Terraform, Gitlab, SQL, Python, AWS IAM, Sagemaker, and Bedrock.
- This Dallas-based role is remote but may require travel for trainings, meetings, or conferences. Most work can be done from an approved remote location within Dallas.
- U.S. citizenship or current work authorization is required; no sponsorship available.

- Apply knowledge of software development and testing to solve problems.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good presentation and communication skills.
- Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or GED.
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent training.
- Experience:
- Entry-level experience in software engineering.
- Physical Abilities:
- Work from a desk or office for extended periods.
- Communicate effectively in English.
- Use a computer and office tools accurately and efficiently.
- Other Qualifications:
- Maintain a professional appearance as per company standards.
- Be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Comply with attendance standards.
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive salary from $86,850 to $96,500 annually, depending on experience. Additional bonuses and benefits include:
