Job Description:

This posting is for multiple technology positions across various teams in Southwest's Warrior Hire Program. The mission of the Warrior Hire Program is to recruit and hire transitioning Veterans, supporting them through the beginning of their corporate careers by providing opportunities for professional growth, camaraderie, and mentorship. If you are planning your transition to a civilian career or have recently transitioned, this program is designed to support you in that transition and as you join our Southwest Family. Thank you to those who currently or previously served, giving us all the freedom to fly.

Additional details:

  • Revenue Accounting Technology team: Supports revenue accounting applications like SIRAX and SAP BRIM. Candidates should have experience with AWS Transfer Family, AWS Lambdas, AWS CloudWatch, AWS S3 Buckets, AWS Appflow, SIRAX (SAP Netweaver), SAP PI, SAP BRIM/Convergent Mediation, Java, Python, Jira, Xray, and Agile/Scrum.
  • AI Engineering team: Responsible for enabling AI and ML capabilities. Experience with Boto (Python for AWS), Terraform, Gitlab, SQL, Python, AWS IAM, Sagemaker, and Bedrock is preferred.
  • This Dallas-based role is offered as a remote position, which may require travel for trainings, meetings, conferences, etc. Most work time may be spent in an approved remote location within Dallas.
  • U.S. citizenship or current work authorization is required; no sponsorship available.

    • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
    • Education:
      • Required: High School Diploma or GED.
      • Required: Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent training.
    • Experience:
      • Entry-level experience in software engineering.
    • Physical Abilities:
      • Work from a desk or office for extended periods.
      • Communicate effectively in English.
      • Use a computer and office tools accurately and efficiently.
    • Other Qualifications:
      • Maintain a professional appearance as per standards.
      • U.S. citizenship or work authorization required.
      • At least 18 years old.
      • Comply with attendance policies.

    Pay & Benefits:
