Job summary

HIA Group in Austin is seeking junior to mid-level associates for its emerging companies practice, working with founders, startups and venture funds across the full lifecycle from first institutional rounds through exit.

You'll work on seed through late-stage financings, M&A for venture-backed businesses, company formation, equity incentive plans and board advice, drafting and negotiating term sheets, and running deals from diligence to closing in a fast-growing Austin market.

Qualifications

• Class of 2019 to 2024
• Venture capital and emerging companies experience at a large law firm
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent drafting and deal management skills
• Eligibility to practice law in the State of Texas

Responsibilities

• Seed through late-stage financings for both companies and investors
• Sell-side and buy-side M&A for venture-backed businesses
• Company formation, equity incentive plans and board advice
• Drafting and negotiating term sheets and transaction documents
• Running deals day to day from diligence through closing
