Job summary

Adecco is seeking a skilled CNC machinist to set up, adjust and operate vertical boring mills to turn, bore, face, groove, mill and drill parts per print. You will measure with precision, document results, and edit CNC programs as needed.

Strong knowledge of CNC controls (preferably Fanuc), shop math and blueprint reading required. Prior experience with large turning, crane operations, and short-run jobs is a plus; lifting up to 38 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of machining experience including CNC setup.
• Knowledge of CNC controls, preferably Fanuc.
• Strong shop math, blueprint reading and problem solving.
• Experience with large turning machines preferred.
• Experience in short run/job shop environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 38 lbs.
• Crane experience is a plus.
• Large part experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate Vertical Boring Mills to turn, bore, face, groove, mill and drill per print.
• Check own work with measuring instruments and document results to tight tolerances.
• Interpret routings, process sheets, die drawings and blueprints; select speeds, feeds, tooling and sequence; edit CNC programs as needed.
• Position, align and secure work piece; may use locating fixtures; CNC controls may be present.
• Participate in machining team efforts and continuous improvement activities.
