Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years machining experience including CNC setup.
• Knowledge of CNC controls, preferably Fanuc.
• Strong shop math, blueprint reading, and problem solving skills.
• Experience on large turning machines preferred.
• Short run / job shop experience preferred.
• Large part and crane experience a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 38 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate Vertical Boring Mills to turn, bore, face, groove, mill, and drill.
• Check tolerances using measuring instruments and document results.
• Read routings, process sheets, die drawings and blueprints; select tools and speeds.
• Prove out and edit CNC programs as needed.
• Position and secure work; may use locating fixtures; machines may be CNC controlled.
• Actively participate in machining team efforts and continuous improvement.
