Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. in Barberton, Ohio is seeking qualified applicants for large machining center roles. You will set up and operate large CNC Vertical Boring Machines, perform boring, facing, turning, grinding, and related operations per procedures.

You will work with programmers to develop, test run programs, read drawings, and ensure parts meet ±0.001" tolerances using precision measuring tools. A high school diploma or GED is required, and relocation and benefits are provided as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of relevant precision machining experience preferred.
• Journeyman level machinist designation or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-axis machining on large machines with high precision.
• Develop and test run programs with a programmer and supervisor.
• Position and secure work pieces and fixtures on the table.
• Verify tools and assemble tooling as required.
• Perform final inspection using inspection probes and precision tools.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and proper documentation.
